Also look for laptops with 64bit processor like Turion, cause most of the upcoming OSs are all going to be optimized for 64bit processors... including Microsoft Vista

Go and buy LinuxForYou Monthly magazine, you will get a complete OS with all the software you require for a Desktop along with it, and that too for only 100 Rs. You can use the same copy for as many installations as you want :) You can download Knoppix 3.4 from www.knopper.net. complete to r...un from live CD and also installable on HDD. Comes with openoffice.org 1.1.0, XMMS, gcc and lot more.... you can also use the same copy for as many installation as you want. coming on to microsoft end... if you have more than one m/c you pay for one license for each m/c. Thats where you get the blow, not buying one OS for 6000 but buying 10 OS for 6000 each and then spending 16000 for 10 Office suits :) go ahead, blow your pockets out. Read More

Linux single is not a bug, Linux is all about freedom, you could password protect your Lilo or Grub, or even do away with Linux Loaders and boot into Linux with a NT or XP boot loader. You are not supposed to fire arbitrary commands as a root user, you ought to know that.. I tried pinging mi...crosoft.com but nothing happened to my system. It hardly crashes. What OS are you trying to compare Linux with? Windoze 98? or XP? or NT? XP is a bit stable but have you seen the size of SP2 and SP1? Windoze 98 has serious security flaws. Its a known fact that Linux is far more stable than any of windoze counterparts. Keep your Linux updated, try using a more stable OS such as Debian or Slackware. then try looking for bugs.... aha you cant install it. LOL.Read More

dont worry abou that, it will go upto 65 Kms in the city roads, once your bike's engine is roused, I also faced similar problem initially, but once my bike crossed 1800-2000 kms its been kind to me. :)

even though all these multimedia facilities are not available, the pros are far greater than the cons, I was looking for a mobile that lets me connect to internet at high speed and also with bluetooth, this is the cheapest mobile that supports both the technologies. And you cant beat the integrat...ed keyboard and the 5 way joystick. Yes I agree that pics are not great, no radio and the low memory but then I am looking for a business phone and not a multimedia player ;)Read More

Hi! I have been using Hutch connection for quite some time now, just above 2 years. I bought a new Nokia 6820 mobile in order to get my PC connected to the Internet through EDGE, though EDGE is not yet launched in Gujarat region. I could still use GPRS. Initially the GPRS service of hut...Read more

all in all it cost me 50, 760 Rs. I had tested a lot of other bikes in this segment, e.g freedom, ambition, caliber, crux, libero etc. the only bike that was worth a match was ambition. you can say only when you experience. I agree that the pickup might not hold up agains the 2 stroke competitors, b...ut one also has to look at the average especially when one has to drive about 50 kms each day. one look at the tank and head light say it all. the bike's min. ground clearance is 155mm. what more. so far I have not had to shell a single penny on maintance except of the occasional oil change. its been 12,000 kms.Read More

I live in the outskirts of ahmedabad, and my college is also in the outskirts, so I have to drive 18 kms at a streach at a constant speed of 50 kmph without breaking, or shifting gears. one more thing I use Xtra Premium petrol.

I bought my bike nearly 8 months back, its already travelled 11,700 kms. The engine still sounds sweet, and the performance is just great, with an average of about 70, such great looks, and a dream pickup what else could you ask for in a bike?? The handling is also good, and the bike can easi...Read more
