dear asherkb, I don't think laws can help much. Best option is keep meeting teh builder on regular basis may be once a month and get update on what will be effect on delays. Make sure you are paying as per payment schedule and insist that builder pay penalties as per agreement. Thease followups... on regular basis will help you in getting the best deal from teh builder while taking handover. Don't with-hold any payments. It will not noit help. For example if there is another 5% to be aid on cpompleting flooring. You just pay it on completing flooring. Don't withhold agreed payments citing delays. You have more chances of getting delay charges paid by builder on handover, if you had paid each payment on time as per schedule. But you need ask (fight verbally) for it. BoopathyRead More
