Hi, Thanks for posting this review. I wish I had read it before I bought the Family Floater Health Insurance policy last week. But, I did read the whole policy wordings and all other content on their website before deciding to purchase. After I purchased the policy and they sent the soft copy ...(and hard copy of the documents), I had sent them a mail asking for procedure and waiting period for adding our newborn baby which is due in Jan 2012. Instead of replying to my query, they came out with a condition that if the pregnancy is > 3 months, they will cancel the policy !! Now, there was absolutely no mention of this eligibility criteria anywhere. And if there were indeed conditions like yours or the one they’re citing in my case, they should have asked those questions during the online purchase process or a manual confirmation offline. Instead, they just chose to let you fall in the trap and then harass you like this. To make matters worst, my earlier policy from ICICI Lombard has lapsed since we were advised by our financial advisor to not to renew it and go for Apollo Munich instead :-( It’s high time IRDA takes note of such unfair trade practices and penalize these insurance companies for their cheating.Read More

Update(3rd August 2011): Friends. Looks like my ordeal with Airtel DTH has still not ended. It's been 6 months since I requested disconnection of my Airtel Digital TV and they had come and collected the STB and Remote (left the Dish on my terrace). But, they still haven't disconnected my account. So..., I kept getting these annoying calls from random people asking me to recharge my Airtel Digital TV account !!! Now, even a 5 year old kid knows you can't use a DTH without a STB. So, I wonder how Airtel guys believe they can convince me to recharge an account I had got disconnected 6 months back !! When I called them to find out what's stopping them from disconnecting and cancelling my account for good, they told me they had actually ''suspended'' my account !! I wonder what's their procedure for ''disconnecting'' the account. When they came to collect the STB and remote, you would obviously assume the account is being ''disconnected'' and not just ''suspended''. Airtel Digital TV had one slim chance of winning me back when I switch to a HD LED TV in near future. But, by doing this to me, they have lost me forever. RIP Airtel Digital TV ....Read More
