WHICH IS THE BEST DAY OF THE WEEK ?
When I put this question to my grandmother,her choice was simple "it has to be a MONDAY coz you start your work on this day hence it can be termed as the best
when I put this question to my nephew who works in a call centre, pat came the reply
"Monday sucks because you wake up with a huge hangover and you dread seeing the sorrowful face of your boss,'In my view it has to be FRIDAY, where I end my job and drown myself in pleasures of all kind till monday morning"
the same question I asked my neighbour who thinks that he is "The One" as in the Matrix series
he started giving out lectures of the meanings and the importance of every individual day leaving me completely baffled and he advised me to concentrate on the aspects of the positive and negative energy which comes out of everyday............
the whole episode made me feel like a three year old caught stealing cookies from the fridge
when I asked my better half, the same question, she pondered for a long time thinking that this was a trick question and I am trying to drag her into some controversy, she began to emphasize on the time I waste, bringing up such stupid questions also she found a outlet to let out her feelings about my not going to the market on Sundays, not picking up my Mother in law on Tuesday and always finding out a excuse to not take her shopping on a
Saturday and attend a parent s meet on Monday, the list was growing and it looked like it would surely go out of hand and I would end up being crucified, The timely arrival of some guests saved me. Whew
'its got to be WEDNESDAY' 'said my mom, According to puranas, if you purchase anything on wednesday its bound to double, also it was the day that I was born,(thank goodness I still have not doubled) n the day she got married (hey, I know where you are going) and many positive things happened to her on that day
and my bro in law who is very religious guy thought that SATURDAY the day for Hanuman is good and if you do certain pooja s on this day you are bound to end up good
This made me ponder about crossing lines and asking someone intelligent, intellectual & wise the same question, so I asked my three year old son.........
"surely SUNDAY was his benign reply, no school, no uniform, no waking up early, no hurry hence it was the best day according to him
I was beginning to think that the whole exercise was futile and I asked my two of my colleagues at work
one said truly it has to be THURSDAY, the day of guru where you get the opportunity of serving your guru
the other who is a hardcore investor in the share market thought that TUESDAY
was the best day of the week because according to him the markets have always given good returns whenever he invested on that day
while walking back from the market, my chappal broke down and I went to a cobbler sitting on the roadside, sitting beside him I asked him the same question
I waited for a longtime for his answer as he was trying to concentrate and create a work of art out of my chappal, after a long pause he replied "sahib" what will I know about the benefits & advantages of a day, You will find better qualified persons who can reply to your question, also what difference does it make if I point out a single day for your happiness, Is it going to create a revolution or is it going to change your life ? nothing of that sort is going to happen hence I think if you ask me to choose the best finger in my hand I would not be able to likewise.
after hearing his answer I felt I should not be thinking about the best day of the week according to others but according to me
