hi, guys bought euroair, eureka forbes air purifier for rs 6400 about 3 months back, since I am asthmatic and allergic to odours I thought his product wud do me good, but alas even after usin it for more than 3 months I do not feel any cjhange in air quality of my room.
U have to use it in closed rom which as it is if u close the doors wud keep away the outdoor odours, while sittin inside it does not make any difference.
There r 3 kinds of filters, u can clean 2 filters under running water or mild detergent soaps if dust gets into them, but the problem is the hepa filter!!!!!!! if u decide to use the cartridge which collects fine dust, there is no way of cleaning it!!!!! the demo guy suggested that u just place the cartridge in sun and shake it!!!!!!!! but believe me it does not dislodge the dust particles!!!!!!!
Whereas in the book let it is suggested that u change the cartridge every 6 months!! on enquring about it from eureka guy on replacement he said theat his superiors had not mentioned anythin about changing the hepa filter! so it seems that eurka ppl r fooling their customers by sayin that hepa filter needs no changing! while the bookllet clearly mentions that it has to b replaced.(which means spending extra money every 6 months) and the eureka guy did not even know the cost of replacin hepa filter????????
They say that purifier also acts as ioniser which apparently by charging ions makes it cleaner so thy give an ion checker also which displays whether it is workin or not. but as a user I feel no difference at all in the air quality. so gus if anyone else is usin it and thinks its works please let me know, meanwhile I will have to just console myself with the fact that IONISER HOPEFULLY WORKS!!!!
Menwhile guys there is also bionaire air purifier, wchic covers more area than euroair costs abt 5000 rs available at all croma stores uses hepa filter also but atlaeast the guys at the store tell u b4 hand that it need replacement or u can go to car accessories shop and can it cleaned or if u have a vacuum cleaner u can use it to claen the hepa filter which is in 2 cartridges(unlike I of eureka) the only drawback of bionaire in comparisonto eureka is that it does not come with an instrument to check whether ioniser is workin or not!!
Guys there is no way of chekin out wheter these work or not! it is just ur instincts and nose, and in my case it seems it failed too!!!!!!!!
