It happened today, again. I couldn’t resist my temptation of tearing the shampoo sachet with my teeth. I chipped off some tasteless plastic with a quick lateral incisor shot. The effect was not very productive as I pressed the soft sachet but it bulged where I thought it would make a pass.
It was time for another quick bite and the moment I pricked the membrane, shampoo flushed in to my mouth. I thought I must spit it immediately but by that time the taste got into my mouth. Bitter, slippery, something like mint, tangy, something like you feel after brushing your teeth with Colgate,frothy, growing, bulging in mouth, sodium sulfate, ammonium sulfate, ammonium xylene, TEA lauryl sulfate, sulfur, selenium sulfide, magnesium sulfate, olefin sulfonate, alkyl sodium alkyl benzene sulfonate, dodecyl benzene, dodecyl sulfonate, all mixed in innocent saliva that never knew it would be playing the host for an early morning party.
I was not thinking of spitting it away now. I was enjoying the taste. I dunno if it was really delicious or I got used to it. Whatever be the reason, I could swirl my tongue now and could feel different flavors. What if I eat bread with shampoo? I mean, sandwiched between two soft tender slices and roast it a bit. May be little bitterness would vanish and it would taste more sweet. What if I replace my dalwith shampoo, and mix rice with it and eat? Sauce sachet and shampoo sachet doesn't differ much in form and packaging.It’s just the colour and froth. So why not just suck the sachet bare. I could see my palm listening to the conscience and the next moment I was eating/drinking shampoo.
It was time to feel cleansed, liberated, light, dirt free,guilt free, remorse. I tore off another sachet. I wish I had the entire bottle.I put shampoo on my palm, I saw it glowing and silently slipping away from my palm, running through my life line, making it white, slippery, peaceful.
