I want to know --- when a person holds a passport, a pan card, an election card
from one state. When he shifts to another state and needs a simple sim card for his
mobile ---why do all the service providers insist upon a local police verified document.
Is the passport not a heavily police verified document.
It takes months to acquire one after innumerable checks and cross checks.
Getting a local sim has become such a frustrating ordeal. It is better to stay on roaming
i guess and pay roaming charges than go and talk to these people.
Simple law abiding citizens can not get the basics.
