I am also one of them… It all began in july 2009….my 6 sem exams were over and I wanted to spend my holidays at a place where I can feel real peace…..and what I opted was to go for Ammarnath Yatra…..
The Legend about AMMARNATH CAVE HAS ITS OWN SIGINIFICANCE:
This is a cave which was choosen by BHOLE SHANKAR for narrating the secrets of immortality and creation of universe to maa PARVATI ji….as far my knowledge the story goes something like this ….
Centuries ago maa paravti has asked shiv ji what is all about amar katha…..she insisted that she may be told told about that secret. For Long shiva ji continued postponing.
Finally on consistent demand from maa paravti he made up his mnd to tell the immortal secret….he started for lonely place where no living being could listen it….
He choose Ammarnath cave….and has its own importance like In preparation to that following are some imp facts related to the importance of of each place that comes on the way during piligrim
1)Pahalgam(Bali gaon):he left his nandi i.e the bull which he use to ride.
2)chandanwari : released moon from his hair
3)At the banks Of lake Sheshnag:he released the snake.
4)Mahaganesh Hill : left his son ganesh
5)Panjtarni: left behind five elements (earth,water,air,fire and sky)
After leaving all these ,Bhole Shankar enters the Holy Ammarnath Cave…
Its believe that while narrating katha to maa paravtiji….there were pair of pigeons which were born out of this egg and became immortal having listened the secret of immortality..
Many pilgrims have reported of seeing these two pigeons…
The piligrim basically has 2 way :
1)PEHELGAM.
2)BALTAL.
Amarnath has became a shiva's abode and center of pilgrimage .since then lacs of devotees perform a pilgrimage through tough terrain and avail eternal happiness...
The Trek to amarnath is always in the month of shravan i.e from july-august has the default flock to this incredible shrine,which has different images of lord shiv,i.e in the form of a LINGAM means that it is formed naturally of an ice stalagmite,that waxes and wanes with the moon cycle…
By its side are fascinating 2 more ice lingams that’s of MAA PARAVTI AND THEIR SON LORD GANESHA……
