Why you should never go for Country Club Membership

By: rajeshbarnwal | Posted Nov 17, 2010 | General | 1193 Views

1) Country Club (https://countryclubindia.net) will partner with other companies, like Big Bazaar, who will ask their customers to fill a so-called ‘luck draw form’, which is actually nothing but a lead generation form.

2) The partner company will call its customers to inform that they have ‘won’ a prize for a ‘free’ 7-day trip and to claim the prize they need to visit its ‘associate’ office, which would turn out to be an office of Country Club.

3) The partner company will conveniently forget to inform the ‘winners’ that they will also have to pay Rs 4,000 in order to claim the prize.

4) Once you reach the so-called associate’s office (read Country Club), a group of people will torture you for 2 hours by forcing you to listen to their marketing pitch.

5) One of the marketing guys will tell you that you have to take the decision to become a member then and there only. You can’t say you will let them know later.

6) The moment you say you are not interested they will just replace the sales man with a sales girl. If you are still not convinced the sales girl would be joined by another man. And so-on and so forth till you succumb.

7) They will tell you that you can book the vacation before 48 hours but once you become the member, they will advise you to book the vacation before at least 45 days.

8) They will tell you that you can pay the membership fee through interest free monthly instalments but when you give your credit card to them they will take the entire amount at one go.

9) If you try to call their office and complain, they won’t pick up your calls.

10) They won’t respond to your emails, either.

11) When you reach their office, they won’t even offer you a seat and meet you outside their office so that their other customers don’t listen to your complaint.
