Why Should I ( or as a matter of fact, anyone ) write Reviews??
Dream of the world where everyone knows about everything, and u have internet. U want to know what other thinks of what u own ( remember, neighbor envy, owner’s pride ), and u will encounter MS. Be it from a movie to a Airlines , from mobile to Malls … everything.
I joined MS about 3 yrs back. Since then I was just a silent spectator. I used MS in taking most of my daily life decisions, and checked what others had to say about the Movie I am going to see, the music I like, the cell phone I want to purchase…and the list goes on.
While I thought I am doing this just for the information, ( and at times have a good laugh). But later I realized that reading reviews is actually affecting my decision making. Knowing about what the users of the product actually make u understand that if the product is worth it or not.
But have we ever given it a thought what makes u, me, or as a matter of fact anyone to write review. Lets try to brainstorm and find out why do ppl write reviews:-
Reviewing things is a natural habit of Human beings , mostly its –ive in nature, that's what we know as “cribbing”. I mean tell me any of us who has not cribbed about his or her problems in life. The sophisticated form of cribbing is now a days known as “reviewing”. And hence, MS is all about cribbing.(Breaking News)
there is a special genre of people, who want to ppl to listen to them. In general language we call them “Speakers”. But not everyone of that genre has that ablity of binding the crowd ( me being one of them ). They invented this platform, now known as MS. Here many likeminded ppl get together to write , read comment, rate each other ( not worrying about what it means to the outer world).
A friend of mine was actually preparing for GMAT, and found it a great place where he can drop his views and practice writing essays, and also getting review on what he wrote. ( Wow!! That was innovative).
In this time of recession, when many of us don't have anything better to do ( no matter we have our job or not). This comes as a good time pass. ( Isn’t it?)
I am able to think of these as of now. Please do add ur valuable( or Vela) comments, or any other reasons u know, in it.
