What special and unusual for the first time visitor in Bihar, India

When you arrive the Patna railway station, like other cities you find it too crowded. Though the roads in the city not so wide for smooth riding, but public transport fare comes in a pocket budget(there is a sharing system in an auto rickshaw and newly arrived BSRTC services).


It’s tough to describe the places to visit in Bihar just in few words. There are so many historical places in Bihar where you can visit, so keep almost 20 to a month plan for the tour. Here I am listing before you some of the most famous places in Bihar you go.


As a local resident, I would first prefer you to visit Patna museum It’s a must-visit in the tourism circuit of Bihar.It was built by Edward Gait in 1925. It’s one of the most beautiful architects and best Museums in India.


Sanjay Gandhi Jaivik Udyan is 2nd most famous in Patna, then Golghar, Takht Sri Patna Sahib(It was built in remembrance of the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh Ji the tenth guru of Sikhs), Sher Shah Suri ka Makbara is memorable place in the capital.


At Nalanda,Nalanda University(established during the 5th century A.D. The university is considered the first residential university ever in the world). Hieun Tsang Memorial Hall, built in memory of the famous Chinese scholar and traveler Hieun Tsang, the construction is rich in architecture Bodhi Tree in Gaya, located about 100 km from Patna. Buddha achieved enlightenment under this tree and hence it is a pilgrim center for Buddhists who hail from all parts of the world.


Rajgir Hot Springs Located at the foot of Vaibhava Hills, the springs get their water from Saptadhara, which passes behindSaptaparni Caves. The hot springs are considered to possess medicinal properties( It is believed that Lord Buddha and Mahavira had bathed in these hot springs).


Vishwa Shanti Stupa at Rajgir, one of the 80 Peace Pagodas around the world, situated in the hills of Rajgir. You feel to be in heaven at this place.


Jalmandir Temple from Pawapuri(the holy city of Jains, near to Nalanda city) the place where Lord Mahavira attained Samadhi.


And the list is endless but I mention only a few which near to capital and safe to visit even in the night. If you are new in Bihar please get assistance for routes to travel these places, and about the modes of transportation as well. People are friendly and outspoken, but don’t get much involved with them so much. And yes, don't forget to have delicious Litti Chokha and Gujia to eat.
