Univercell Mobile store Worst customer service - Do not use Credit/Debit card to buy mobiles

My Name is Raja Raman. I wanted to purchase a Sony Xperia Tipo today(14.1.2013) for Rs 9300 in Neyveli branch,Cuddalore district, Tamil Nadu. I made my Payment of Rs 9300 using my Citibank debit card. The payment was confirmed from Citibank however the receipt was not generated from swiping machine in univercell.


The univercell customer care manager Ajeeth (9944358787)asked me to come back next day as he has to check with their bank.


I have my bank statement and sms sent by citibank which confirms my payment. I spoke to Citibank customer care and they confirmed my payment


I went to the Neyveli Branch again this morning. The Agent informed me that he didn't receive the payment. However the amount got deducted from my citi bank account. I have a scan copy of my bank statement and the email confirmation of Payment for Rs 9300 at 5.52 PM on 14.1.2013. I spoke to the citibank and they confirmed Rs 9300 got deducted from my account.


The Univercell Store manager ajeeth(Mob # 9944358787) did not trust me and he did not give me the mobile or he did not bother to give my money back. Now I lost my Rs 9300 and I want my money( Rs 9300) back to my account or I need the mobile(sony xperia tipo).


The receipt not generated from univercell store swiping machine is not my problem and it is not my fault. I have shown all the proof like my bank statement, confirmation and the SMS that I received from Citi bank for the purchase. I had to spend hours of time on a pongal festival day and this became a nightmare for me. I came here to spend time with my family on a festival day and not with univercell. Please do not use your debit card/credit card,EMI in univercell mobile store. You may end paying your money for no reason and no one knows where the money goes. I am really UNHAPPY and DISAPPOINTED with UNIVERCELL mobile store, Neyeli branch. I also want to inform you that your phone call wont be answered when you call up Univercell customer care number 044 - 42912345 . They would either disconnect the call or there wont be any response. I also tried to contact the MD of univercell through email however I didnot get any response. I received a automated response and I have tried reaching them several times today and finally I am writing this email out of frustation.
