Jaipur City has many traffic lights and dividers where people do not follow any traffic rules, either because of absence of Traffic Police or because of attitude of traffic police. The Traffic Police of Jaipur do not stop/challan college and rowdy looking boys, rashly driving girls and unruly "bal vaahini" and mini buses.
Gopalpura Byepass overbridge shelters vehicles under it, however, traffic moving towards Mansarovar, motor cycle and scooters ride on the pavement and crosses the traffic signal and turns towards mansarovar very dangerously. From Gopalpura to Ridhi Siddhi Sweets, there are many traffic signals which are good for nothing as nobody cares to follow traffic rules.
The incident of death of IPS Mr. VS Singh has not opened eyes of Traffic Police as there is nobody to challenge them. If they dont stop an indisciplined rider, nobody can force them. They will search only for those riders who r not wearing seat belts etc. or where they find something can be extracted.
The accidents are bound to increase if some serious revamping of the system is not done
