Love. Or more precisely "true love". What exactly is this "true love"? Does everyone find it - or is it just a blind belief followed by people? Over all these years, I've heard thousands of people gush out heavy lines about "true love". They say true love is this, true love is that, thousands of quotes, phrases which describe "true love".
People say that they forget everything when they look at their "The One". Their hands and legs start shaking, butterflies flutter in their stomachs.......the list goes on and on. And don't even get me started on the painful feeling when their so-called "true love" breaks their heart. 'Broken heart', 'Can't breathe', 'Can't live without you' - all these meaningless phrases used when "true love" breaks your heart.
Seriously.....I mean, you're not going to actually stop breathing when he/she leaves you. Butterflies don't actually flutter in you stomachs when you see him/her. Then why do people say this ? I mean, what's wrong with.....LOVE? Why do people add this "true" in front of the magical four-letter word and add so much melodrama to everything??
Books and movies depict a totally different kind of "true love". Like, its really just plain EXTREME!!! Sometimes, while reading books.....I'm like "OMG! This is what feels like true love! Then I'm never gonna find it!" My friend last week was talking about her crush - 15th maybe - and continuously repeating the words "true love". For her, "true love" is her 15th crush!
Boys who have just entered adolescence start proposing their crushes and declaring their 'true love". Strange huh.....their life's just begun and they're already experiencing "true love". A couple who've had a smooth 1 yr-old relationship start believing it to be do dil ek jism stuff (I don't know the correct line).
Don't get me wrong.....I'm not against love. Its just that this butterflies in stomach thingy....does it actually happen?? I talk to my boyfriend everyday but my hands and legs never start shaking.....my mind never goes blank. But then, I've never felt a better feeling. And I believe it to be love.......and yet my "true love" is so different from the world's melodramatic definition.
So, basically I just guess we all have our own different versions of 'true love". It could be your 15th crush.....and at the same time it could be the person with whom you decide to spend the rest of your life. The only thing is to recognize this "true love" at the right time and get hold of it, never letting it go......
Everyone says that love hurts, but that's not true. Loneliness hurts. Rejection hurts. Losing someone hurts. Everyone confuse these things with love, but in reality, love is the only thing in this world that covers up all the pain and makes us feel wonderful again.
