Kya kar raheen hain Madam?? Gir Jayengi!!
He stared at me as if I had just dropped from Mars!! But then this is nothing new for me, I have always been the exception to the clause that “Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus”. So I just laugh aloud at this expression, but then I don’t blame him. Anybody would freak out a little on seeing some 30 plus around lady, well-dressed(that’s an assumption), standing at the open door of a bogie in a speeding train.
But Oh so much do I love this recklessness!! Of doing things which don’t require much of a reason and thought. . Suddenly the years in between have vanished and I am back to my usual self, back to the same circumstance where I was termed as “The Brat”, “Crash Course” or anything which had spelled trouble, speed and haste. Meticulous subjects, plannings and anything related bored me to death. Not that I have anything against such people but somehow I could never relate to people who would live in the constant fear of Kal Kya Hoga??
I have a phrase on my laptop which says “Fear is Temporary, Regret is Permanent” !! And oh so much do I believe in this thought. Just coz a fear of tripping is there , the hurdle race has probably the least no of contenders. So many places I see those illuminating eyes which say “Wish I could be there, Alas!! Sigh!!!”
Of Course!! So why wait for it!! The joy received from risk and recklessness can never be compared to any. Throwing that caution in air and just letting your hair down for a while gives a liberating feeling which no other achievements would give!!
I feel much better standing on this door where I am least bothered about sun, hot air or sweat. Coz this is something I love doing!! I feel Liberated!
