Hong Hong, a three-month old from China's Hunan province has 15 fingers and 16 toes because of a rare birth defect called polydactylism, inherited from his mother. She has 12 fingers and 12 toes.
The deformity did not show in the multiple ultrasounds that she went through during her pregnancy. It was only after Hong Hong's birth, his parents realized he has contracted the condition as his mother.
The doctors have asked a$30000 fee for the surgery to treat this condition and that the baby will be operated when he is between 6 months and 12 months old. Parents are seeking financial help.

Gujarat's Devendra Suthar, a carpenter by profession with 14 fingers and 14 toes, is currently a Guinness World Record holder for polydactyly. He asserts that extra fingers do not affect the quality of wok, however, he needs to be careful while cutting things.
