Well the festive season has just begun & my shopping graph is starting to take a sharp upswing .I want to make this 2010 diwali different from the rest of the diwalis which I had celebrated in the past.So,I have laid down these ten point agendas which need to to be obeyed and complied to.I hope my fellow readers will join me in this Noble work & make a difference this comming festive season.
1) Adoption of a green technology(CFL,SOLAR WATER HEATER,5 STAR RATED APPLIANCE) so as to save carbon emission.
2) Recycling the packaging materials used in the gifts received from the relatives & friends.
3) Planting a tree,will help in lowering down the emission of green house gases.
4) Fire crackers free diwali with prayers & puja ceremony with diyas.
5) Donating a part of my income to NGO indulging in child labour prevention.
6) Making people aware to donate blood as India faces a shortage of almost million units of blood every year.
7) Pledging my eyes to the eye bank.
8) Using public transport instead of private so as to lower down the overall impact on the enviroment.9) Eating green diet without meat,eggs as they have higher input cost & emit more carbons as compared to green vegetables.10) Last but not the least start reading epaper instead of normal paper ,as this will save newsprint .I hope my fellow mouthshut members will co-operate with me in making this planet a much more greener place to live.Thanks
