The world as we know will change

By: kaajal | Posted Nov 10, 2008 | General | 619 Views

It's beautiful that the world is changing for good all around us. Who could have imagined 30 years ago that the most powerful country and the largest economy on earth will one day have a President who is of African origin. Or will have a President who's father was a muslim. Yes, we can.

We all made it possible. America made it possible. The world made it happen.

We were all frustrated with the yo-yo policies of the Bush-Cheney administration. We were all divided over petty issues that benefited few and harmed many. We lost our sense of thinking. Our capacity to dare. Our audacity to dream different was stiffled under the Bush-Cheney world order. The world was hijacked by terrorists and their arch-enemy, the Bush-Cheney regime only confronted them even more. The spiral was growing and was affecting us all. It was a quagmire.

In this darkness, to this in humanity, we have a blessing called Barack Hussain Obama. A man who dared to dream the impossible. America heard him. They listened to him and they rallied behind him. He asks us to bury the old and think of the future. He asks us to act in the living present, like Henry Longfellow did in a poem many decades ago.

Barack Obama had my vote. Barack Obama is the President-elect of America and Barack Obama is a new ray of hope in a gloomy world without any leader.
