Terrible Chairs - Worse Service

I bought a Bluue Mango executive chair for use in my newly renovated home from Home Town-Mumbai at 247 Park, Vikhroli, Mumbai 400083 on 22.12.2011. The chair carried a 12 month warranty. Within 3 months of purchase, the entire faux leather covering on both the arm rests as well as on the seat and back rest started peeling off like a snake shedding its coat. I lodged a complaint with Pantaloon Retail (I did not have the Bluue Mango's contact details at that time) in April 2012. After repeated follow-up, someone from the supplier of the furniture to Pantaloon Retail, Bluue Mango Seatings Pvt. Ltd. visited my house and said that the chair has a manufacturing problem and would need to be replaced. He called the company officials from my home and apprised them of his findings.Since then my ordeal has started. It is almost last day of July 2012 now and I still have the chair, of course, in an even worse condition. I have made countless calls to Bluue Mango and spoken to their executive Geeta Nd Amit. Written them no less than 3 e mails. And for good measure also called Pantaloon Retail since they sold the chair to me at their shop and copied them on all mails. Every time, I call Geeta (Amit now does not come on phone), I am given a date when the replacement chair will be sent to my home and the promises are never kept.I am losing hope that these two companies, Bluue Mango and Pantaloon Retail have any intention of honouring their warranties. I am now planning to take my case to a Consumer Redressal forum, although they don't seem to be much bothered.Stay as far away as possible from these two outlets. You will save yourself lots of trouble.
