Tata Broadband's new recession-proof money making model

Below is the transcript of my email chain regarding my refund money since 4 months!


Dear Manager1, I didn't receive any reply from you hence called up the customer care again, today. This is hilarious... First thing the customer care executive tells me is that the back-end team tried calling me (on Mar 18th) but my number was not reachable. (The day they tried calling, my number was perfectly reachable!!) Say worst case, the number was not reachable, does it mean try once and then make no effort to call up again? Then he tells me that there was some error in backend processing and hence the delay, "kindly wait for 60 days!" dejavu! :-) I ask myself, Is this some new recession-proof business model for making money?

Hi Manager1, In Oct '08 I placed a request to terminate. Around Jan 9th, 2009 the connection was officially terminated. I was told that within 60 days I will be getting my refund. Called customer care on numerous occassions, but there has been no positive response whatsoever (#9157256) More than the money what bothers me is the complete lack of professionalism and the poor quality of service overall. Just wanted to bring this to your notice and that of the concerned gentlemen.
