Hey Friends !!! Do you like to hear Ghost Stories ??? I mean REAL, ORIGINAL GHOST STORIES ???

This story was told to me by my Dad (Siddy). He still tells this story to whoever becomes his friend…I MEAN HE ACTUALLY EXPERIENCED IT !!

So the story starts……One day when my dad was 15 yrs old, his father gave him a job to carry a bag of woolen clothes & go to Tangabaram & give it to his friend there. My dad left the house at 7.30 in the evening & the distance was about 1 hour, so he would reach Uncle’s house in time for dinner & stay there till morning.

As he was going he met his Uncle Annapa, who asked him where he was going so late in the evening. Annapa warned him to walk fast, saying “Siddy, the road is full of thick trees, be careful when you are going……..If you see anybody, first look at their feet & see. If their feet are on the ground, they are ‘Humans’, otherwise beware, they are ‘Ghosts’ !!”

My scared Dad started walking hugging his bag close. The wind was blowing through the trees & it sounded eerie!! Dad quickened his walk. Suddenly…he heard footsteps!!..Terrified he turned around & saw an old lady, struggling walking on the road behind him. He wondered where she came from so suddenly & remembered what Uncle Annapa, told him. He looked quickly at her feet to see if it were on the ground or in the air. He heaved a sign of relief !! as he saw her feet firmly on the ground. Thank GOD! He thought “She is not a Ghost”.

The old woman beckoned him to hold her hand & walk with her. So they chatted as they walked, till they came to the village. The old woman was thankful for dad’s kind help & asked him to come to her cottage & have a cup of coffee. Innocently, Dad went in with her. The old woman was sweet & she talked about her son & told dad, how he had gone away from her, by the horrible plague sickness in the village a year ago. She cried & said that, she still felt he was still living with her, every day. Dad felt sad for the old woman & touching her feet he took her permission to leave.

As he was going out, she called him & said in Tamil, “My Son, please do me a favor. There is a garbage dump on the left side of the road further up. Please take my bag of garbage & throw it there, as it is a bit heavy also for me to carry”. Dad immediately agreed. The old woman went into the kitchen & after a long time, she came out with a black long bag, tied on the top with rope. She gave it in Dad’s hands & led him to the door.

The big long black bag seemed so heavy for garbage. But somehow, dad put the bag over his shoulder & dragged it out. He turned back to wave farewell to old woman, but to his surprise, she had disappeared !! The door was closed & the cottage was in total darkness!!!! He got scared !! Then he wondered, what was inside the bag. Slowly he felt the bag all over, trying to figure out what was inside.

To his sudden shock, he felt a body inside, hands & fingers !!!!. He remembered what the old woman had told him about her son, who had died of plague & how she felt that he still lived with her…..!

Maybe he thought to himself “This body must be her son’s”. He trembled with fear…! not knowing what to do. His heart raced & he thought of throwing the bag on the road & running..But he was scared that the old lady would appear again & scold him….He was terrified & trembled.…Then he saw the garbage dump on the side of the road. Panting heavily & shaking all over, he carried the body in the bag to that place. Slowly he lifted the bag from his shoulder & bent down. Just as he was placing the bag down……., He Felt a Cold Hand……Tap Him On His Shoulder !!!!! He FROZE with fear and with a heavily beating Heart he slowly……turned, to see who it was…!!!!
