Standard Chartered- Worst services ever seen in life

Hi Friends,


Here I am sharing another bad experience with Standard Chartered Bank, worst one I have ever faced in this area. They do not have proper system, no sync within the departments. I had updated my contact details. 4-5 times to the collection/ customer department and had also requested them to update the same in their records but the collection department is still calling me on my office landline number instead of calling me on my mobile number. When asked they said they do not have my mobile number with them. How it is possible, I don’t understand, as first I never provided them my office landline number on which they are constantly calling, second I had given my mobile no to them, also have personally visited there brach and had yupdated my contact details again but I believe there system is dumb which cannot update the correct information.


I had taken the personal loan from Barclays, which has been now taken by Standard Chartered Bank. They tried hitting the payment once on the due date, which was unsuccessful due to gateway error. Usually if at once the hit is unsuccessful, banks try to do it twice or thrice. Instead of doing so, they were asking for 562 Rs penalty and called up on my office landline number for the same matter. I told the collection department person to call me on my mobile number, also for not deducting the amount as it was not my mistake I had the enough balance in my account. I did not receive any call on my mobile number (this is when I provided her my mobile no as well ) and without my knowledge they deducted the amount form my account. Today again somebody called up from Standard Chartered collection department on my office landline and asked her to call on my mobile no. Again there is no call post that. Hit date of my installment is 23rd of every month, I have enough balance on my account, but they have not deducted the amount till now when today is 4th Oct’13


Moreover there customer care numbers are not getting connected, I don’t understand what kind of services they are providing to there customer and what kind of IT infrastructure they have, which cannot even update one contact detail and have no connections/ shared data within their different department


I highly disagree with this bank and its services and now going to take this issue in consumer forum.
