Dear,

I want to bring something that going inside me to before you. So I decided to start blogging and infact this is my first blog. Without much waste of your time, here I begin my story.

What do you think about Doctor treatment and their consultation in private hospitals? Ok, I'll share my ideas on this and so you can decide to comment your notions on it.

I personally feel that if you go as a patient with lots of hope to the Doctor in the private Hospitals or elsewhere, Governement hospitals scenarios would be discussed a bit later, be patience. You might have spent Rs. 1000/- approx. until you met Dr. Ok fine until now; we are okay as we went to the Dr for curing our diseases and understanding the root cause of it.

'For sure we all are having some phobia to not lose your dearest at any cost.' Yep!

They see your problem with their eyes and suggest further to have certain test like Sigmoidoscopy or Blood Test etc. to uncover about your disease. Adding further here that again all these test would be changeable separately. Now these doctors are completely impatient about our innocence. These doctor will suggest your problem as big as possible adding 99% your disease is non-cancerous but for 1% clarification he would suggest to get further test as stated above. Now you would get panic and then further he would add saying that you would require surgery(blub blub blub!) which would cost around 70-80K(with medicine - 1 Lakh approx) where you personally would have imagined that this would have come around 15- 20K only for your disease but all your estimation went into vain. Now what you would do? Anyway you would think that let's get test done atleast. By the time you got your test done which would around Rs. 2000/- or more. Yep! Ok got it done.

Adding to above surgerical cost, you would have told you that please find my personal card and contact me for any further assitant after your test done. At the sametime, he would have told you that he could arrange some discount at max 10% rougly from mangement on his request and another thing you would come to know that he would tell that you don't have to stay in the hospital as your surgery is minor, so you could get it done in Day Surgery where admission charge could be deducted. So your total surgery charge would come around 50-60K(with medicine 80K) say for e.g. piles surgery which is really minor can be done in 1 hour only and patient can be discharge after couple or more hours.Adding here if you suggest that in some other city, this surgery would be done in 15-20K that's the reason we thought of coming here & getting treated then Doctor would suggest you that there are many disposal and recycling tool can be used in the surgery which would bring the cost down. Hell here.!

Now here this is not done; this whole thing would have taken your whole day and finally you would realise that he would have suggested in your test prescription further to another specialised doctors for reviewing your test say endocopist. What the hell here? And now if you would try to meet the same doctor then Dr's secratory would suggest you to come on next day.

You got fed up here. I can feel it.!

Important point in the above test such as endoscopy would have come every thing as normal or minor issues which can be very much curable by medication but for mint money sake, these doctors would suggest that this can't be cured by medicine; we got surprised at their face that for what purpose have they got experience in their career and says straight that it's not curable by medicine and surgery is the only helpful. When you ask their experience they would tell that they worked 15 year in London, completed their degree in 1995 yrs and returned India and joined here from 1 yr past.

Finally, you would decide among yourself to ignore the surgery here and move on.

So I feel that these doctors are completely out of their mind.

Now these poor family decided among themselves to go to Goverment Hospitals as because any civil issues comes or VIP goes to Govt Hospital for checkup/postmertom. Only we avoid going to Govt Hospitals because of some careless by doctor due to huge crowd or simply avoiding crowd. These family went next day to Government Hospital and their were surprised to see it was huge crowd their and they were in different region where their mother tongue, this was another challeges but however they were able to manage. They were sent to Out Patient(OP) surgery department where they got their turn came after some hours(and also you have to be smart when you are going to govt hospitals unlike private hospitals expecting your turn would come easily, you need to fight for your chance as if your meal) and they shown to Doctor their diagnosed reports where looking at those reports Doctors suggested that this is just a minor problem which will be cured mostly(100%); it doesn't require surgery at all; There doctors prescribed some medicine for 15 days and two additional medicine which could be taken as long feel completely comfortable. All this from starting till medicine cost maximum 1000/-.

One lesson learnt here that doctors in govt hospitals sees on a daily basis around 5/10 times more than doctor of private hospitals. No need to write more conclusion; it's very well uynderstood from above the mindset of doctors but I would add again here that not all doctors are bad or money minded; there are many who are philanthropist and loyal to their service.

Kindest Regards,

Nikhil Gupta
