Should we still call Sachin as god of cricket?

14,9,23,2,54,1,44,1,0,23. These are the scores of God of cricket (as some people call) in the last 10 IPL innings. Some interesting statistics are

  • 5 single digit scores(one duck),4 two digit innings and only one half century.

  • Total score from 10 innings is 171 (i.e an average of 17 runs per innings).

  • Standing at 25th position among the top scoring batsmen.

  • Some not so popular indian players like Ajinkya Rahane, Mandeep Singh(Both in 9 innings as against God's 10 innings), Robin Uthappa who are dying to get a place in national team have scored more runs than God.

  • 4 cricketers have scored more than double his total score (171)

  • Chris Gayle's one innings score (175) is more than God's total IPL score.

  • God's test match and ODI recent scores are equally pathetic

  • God's contemporary and already retired cricketers like Ricky Ponting are diving in the air and taking catches like school kids. But God's fielding and catching is just average.

Should we still consider him as God of cricket? Is this how god supposed to perform? How long he will be a burden to the team? India gave him an opportunity to start playing at the age of 16. Doesn't he have the responsibility to make way for many such 16 year old kids?

Guys pls think. Only current performance matters in any sport. No one should continue playing poor game by citing the past performances and hamper the chances of other players. Stop supporting poor performers. There has to be a limit for support and encouragement.
