I first bought the Sennheiser PX 100 Headset in 2006 from Singapore atapproximately Rs. 3750 (Converted to Indian Rupee from SGD). Thatspretty expensive for a headset, but considering other High-End productsfrom others (e.g Bose), its a lot cheaper (approx 40% cheaper ascompared to Bose). Ever since I bought this headset, I stopped using mySony Home Theater system to listen to music. Why? Because the soundquality of this headset is far better, richer, clearer and natural thanmy Home Theater System! In India this headset costs approx Rs 2900 andis available some leading Electronics stores. In Bangalore, itsavailable at the Apple store, Forum Mall.
Just about 2 weeks ago,this headset has a problem - the right speaker stopped working becauseI accidently put too much pressure on the wire which may have causedsome loose ends causing the speaker to go bust! This was the firstproblem I had in the past 3 years since I bought this headset. Ishipped it to Sennheiser India for repairs. There was another problemthough - my headset was white in color, and in India Sennheiser sellsonly the BLACK ones - same quality, everything same, just the color.Unfortunately, they didn't have the spares for my white headset, andguess what? They replaced my headset- FREE OF CHARGE - with a black oneof course. Imagine it - 3 years down the line, no warranty, but still afree replacement.
For those of you, who really are into music, dotry this headset. Its very comfortable - you can leave it on your earsfor 10 hours and not feel anything. Its got an amazing sound quality -I can assure you its better than Bose, and at a price thats definitelybetter and worth the money spent. Bose's range starts from Rs 5000 andthey do not sound as good as the Sennheiser.Another factor - theproduct is very sturdy. My lil 1 and a half year old daughter used topull n pull n pull the headset's wire while I used to listen to music(she wanted me to play with her, and I would when she'd do this), andthe headset suffered NO damage. The headset is designed such that itcuts out outside noise so you hear just your music and NOTHING ELSE!!
Finally,the best part - for you music freaks who love their music LOUD, theSennheiser PX 100 is best suited! The sound clarity will be the same atthe highest volume, the bass will be rich, deep and amazing. I hear mymusic loud - at 100% volume (God save my ears), and this headsetperforms.
