Novojit Singh Sidhu, probably we can now call him the man of the match of IPL 2015 in the catagory of commentry. Hope there is no one who is not able to get my words.
Yes,the new style of his commentry has now broke a new genre,which is now betterly known as "Sidhuism". his commentry which is full of shayeries, alliterations, examples etc. which fits with the mood of IPL accurately because we all know the IPL is mainly for entertainment.
But the question is if entertainment means non stop chattering or not.
We all know that he has become famous with this kind of commentry no matter how much boaring those shayeries are,how much unimportant those alliterations are or how much misplaced those examples are.
Entertaining the people does not mean spoiling the mood and spirit of cricket. It will not be a strange thing if someone thinks he or she is in a literature festival while listening to Sidhu's commentry during IPL matches that much misplaced his comments are. Using of different literary devices is not any wrong thing,I would rather say it spices up the art of narration and proves the commentetor's ability to attract and hold the viewers but when one is doing the commentry of a cricket match he should know how to blend cricketing terms and literary terms so that it does not become a theatre show.
If you are a math teacher you can't try to make your students understands while you are giving a lecture full of highly elevated types of literary words,rather you should try to use mathemetical terms.
I think Sidhu would do better if he uses more relevant terms.
