Just recently I found out an experienced repair mechanic in the city who is equally comfortable in repairing old Javas and Yezdis. So far, he has carried out routine maintenance of my vehicle only once with a note tucked inside the filter compartment mentioning the latest odometer reading. While handing me over my serviced vehicle Kailashji, the mechanic, asked me to get it serviced after another 3000 km. My first experience with him is quite good. Normally, after a regular maintenance at a service centre my bike's pick up speed used to drop down drastically within a month. To my utter surprise, after a service at Kishanji's shop, the pick up speed remains as strong, though a couple of months have passed, and there is still about a 1000 km to go, before the next scheduled service gets due. Now, I am blaming my stars - how they kept me away from such a expert mechanic for so long.
As can be expected, the quality of service at the Royal Enfield service centres have drastically deteriorated as Bullet lovers in the city have mushroomed. Getting my vehicle serviced at one of these centres is almost a nightmare for me. If you want your Bullet get serviced the same day at these centres, deliver your vehicle at their door step early in the morning. Else, be prepared to get your shabbily serviced vehicle back after a day or two. I am happy that I got a good riddance of these service centres. In the not too distant future I am expecting more such Kishanjis become available at every nook and corner of the city.
