Why buy a car. in the first place? Well, there is not'much' need. I was always looking forward to drive a car. from my childhood and I just learned driving, 2016. So, you can imagine the enthusiasm. that's why.
An then comes the other reasons. we are a family of three, we are active volunteers of the Art Of Living, so we have a BIIIGGER family(although I can't spend that much to go for a 7 seater), rainy season, etc, etc. By the way, have you attended any Art Of Living program? If not attend one right away, it is nice!
What's the budget? How will be the use? Since it's our first car, we have fixed budget at~ 6. We are not going to use it on daily basis. Just for occasional spin in the weekends or an occasional trip. And. some odd weekday short trips. Our weekly trip should not cross 200 km. So, we figured out Petrol will be best for us,
The drill. Now is the hardest part and why I actually took the pain to write this. I noticed it's in fact a difficult puzzle to pick one from the jungle of car companies and different kinds of models they offer.
Few things I was lucky to decide early were, I wanted ABS, Airbags, sound systems, power windows and power steering, and comfortable ride quality(At least what best comes in my budget, since we are going to take long drives). If you have no idea, why are they important, welcome, we are friends. So, please take the pain of Googl.ing and find out, as I did. Believe me, it's worth it.
Next I found these cars in my range:
Maruti-Suzuki: Alto 800, Alto K10, Celerio
Hyundai: Eon, Grand i10
Tata: Tiago
Renault: Kwid
Now is the best part. I communicated the dealer through carwale website and they started calling me for providing details. Last Saturday(20th Aug, 2016) Maruti came with a red Celerio ZXi Petrol version and gave me test drive at my door step. They were the first? Well, not really, since I didn't contacted others before. They said the car I am looking for is in stock and they can deliver right away.
Hyundai called me and came with a white Grand i10 asta Petrol version and gave me a test drive at my door steps today(22nd Aug, 2016). Hyundai, also said the car is in stock.
Both were very friendly and were eager to tell what I was asking them. Now I am waiting for Tata and Renault. Tata has given me tomorrow time for test drive.
