Delhi feels Gurgaon ripples, traffic jams in several parts


An India onces again, monsoon showers bring India's urban centres to their Knees as authorities watch


In Gurgaon the NCR Part of India had shoddy urban infrastructure lay exposed on Friday as monsoon rains triggered miles-long traffic snarls in three of its biggest cities, leaving thousands of commuters stranded for hours without water or food while politicians traded blame for the mess.


The crisis forced police to ask Delhi residents to skip office ad avoid Gurgaon. At many places, paved median strips were hacked off to divert traffic.


Heavy rains threw rush hour traffic out of gear in the Capital on Friday.


New Delhi: The flooded roads and traffic Jams in Gurgaon affected Delhi's commuters. On Friday Delhi Traffic Police issued and alert for all commuters to avoid travelling to Gurgaon if possible.


" Motorists if need to travel from Delhi to Gurgaon are advised to avoid National Highway. 8," the alert was flashed on Twitter, Facebook and the department's mobile application.


Within the city, several traffic heavy stretches were jammed because of Knee - deep water. Roads such as Barafkhana to Azad market, Pamposh Enclave, under Savitri Cinema flyover, under Chirag Dilli and Modi Mill flyover, and IP flyover toward Sarai Kale Khan faced severe snarls because of water logging.
