Poor Me Contd...

By: khulamunh | Posted Mar 12, 2009 | General | 629 Views

11 generous MSians contributed for a cause without perhaps knowing about it. I had planned to take Mouthshut to where it can not and may never ever in my own way. After my days' work got over I went down to a slum at Worli, just besides the Race course, facing Haji Ali. Carried Bananas, Biscuit packets and Soy Milk. Then and there I could invite 18 children who had no color on them. Fed them with fresh made Anda Pav from the stall, and gave them the above. I spent 20 minutes with them, singing a couple of Holi songs. The Beat Marshall is known to me and so the elders who did not know what was Mouthshut were asked by him to keep mouth shut. I did not take pics as I did not want it to be a publicity gimmick. Also no street lights, so it was quite dark anyways. I shared the names of all MSIANS WHO GIFTED COLORS to me with them and they said JAI HO,after each name with a round of applause. Tanvir, apni Tanna drew the loudest cheer. Do I need to say about the population of the slums I went to,now? Apni TAALI bajwane ke liye I left Rs 100 for today mornings Milk n Bread for those kids. They were each given a token to exchange for breakfast from the stall. Dinner cost per kid was Rs 50/,so to make it Rs1000/,I left the money for breakfast. This was the first time ever for these 5-8 yr olds that someone they did not know, gave them a belly full of food and fun. Poor me,I aint no more. Cause one who has friends, can not be poor ever! And I say JAI HO MOUTGSHUT!!
