Paintballing in Yeoor - wasted youth

By: piddling_puppy | Posted Jun 07, 2011 | General | 568 Views

My friends and I organised a paint-balling afternoon in Yeoor (Thane). The event was organised by Arnob from Natura. Since I'd paintballed before in Hiranandani, I was looking forward to another round of sports/adventure. However, I was to be disappointed.

From the moment we landed there, we knew we would have a long day. The Natura team took ages to just get our guns rigged. Once play started, they exercised no control over the game (paintballing umpires are a must).

But the biggest disappointment of all was the guns. Of the 10 guns ordered, only 6 were working in the end. This meant that our whole group of 10 people could not play at the same time. It meant that 3-4 members were always waiting on the sidelines while the others tried to bean each other.

However, it got worse. The guns that worked too would lock up and malfunction in the middle of games. What should've taken us 1 hour to play took 3.5 hours. The constant breaks in momentum caused by gun malfunction took all the fun out of the afternoon.

In the end, once we were done, the staff, which was initially friendly got all defensive when we told them he would refuse to pay the full 100% fee. On the plus side, the management Arnob did give us a 15% discount when we complained.

The venue is great, and you get about 3 hours when you paid for about 1 (in the Mumbai summer, wearing protective clothing, this always isn't a good thing). However, if it's hardcore paintballing that you yearn for, give Yeoor paintballing a miss.
