Fixed line phones could not serve . Hence came the Mobile Phone era. With the increase in population the demand for Mobile phones increased. And with this came in the Mobile Phone Service providers. Initially Airtel, BSNL, Spice Teklecom and Reliance mobile operators launched their services .Then came Tata Indicom, Idea, Connect, Vodafone, Aircel, DOCUMO , Connect, Videocone and others.
Each service provider launched its Post Paid service first and then Prepaid services. prob The free Bills each month were charged later on. . Then users paid as per SMS received from Mobile Company. They satrted VALUE ADDED SERVICES like Festival SMSs, Roaming, Caller Tunes, Internet, Downloading Music and Videos etc. The service providers started misusing the user’s complacency and starting charging even for services not subscribed by the customer.
The customers then started going for Pre-paid Mobile Services..Here the companies deduct money at their will for services neither subscribed nor used by the customer. They charge even for their Customer Care services. There is hardly any Mobile Service Provider who has not made holes in the pockets of its customers. The reviews posted at MS by different members are evidences of the malpractices of these companies. .
How to save extra charges:
Do not use HiTech mobile phones because these handsets are provided with features for Interrnet, Chatting, Photographing, Video Shooting, Voice Mail, Recording etc.These services fall under Value Added Services and are activated by the Mobile Company without your request and knowledge.Use your mobile phones only for making and receiving calls..Your phones are provided with facility to know your billed amount each day. So each morning make it a habit to check your unbilled amount. This shall give you a chance to know whether there is any amount in excess to your usage .Immediately get uit corrected .The charges by some companies are reduced for night hours. Use these hours to talk with your family members and friends who do not mind being disturbed after dining hours.In case you have some complaint to make to the Company use E-mail rather than Customer Care.In case you have brought your complaint to their notice of Customer Care then confirm it through Email. This way you can have evidence against the Mobile Company if you are forced to go for suit under Consumer Protection Act.S.12When you find that after your two or three complaints there is no relief from the company then send Notice under Consumer Protection Act. You do not need a Lawyer for that. Type on your PC giving references of your E-Mails indicating about deficiency in service. I hope this way you can save your some money at least.
