Of PAC, JPC and ABC
THe PAC, JPC and ABC debate hasn't died down. But what seems to be drying up is BJP's patience with Joshi's attempt to bat in the middle when there is no one at the non striker's end. While Sushma has stuck to her demand for JPC, the PAC Joshi wants an equal and comprehensive redressal of his grievances. The grievances are on two counts.
First is his immediate demand to immediately lift the Parliament siege failing which he would take to other forums like collecting at Jantar Mantar to raise a debate from his side.
SEcond he hasn't had one to one, face to face interaction with PM since ages. The last interaction was with the BJP PM with none whatsoever with a Cong PM. That largely explains the alacrity on his part to let the Cong PM appear before PAC for which Sushma ably supported by Jaitley in tandem with Advani riding high on Left-turned-Samajwadi support won't settle for anything less than JPC. Though Jag Utha Joshi has been repeatedly told to nip his desire for one to one interaction with Cong PM as the possibility of a BJP PM is round the corner.
Howsoever strong may be efforts to seek interaction with Cong PM, he should well settle for meeting of minds with a BJP PM provided he desists from batting for full one year. THis one year wait is too long , Joshi lamented, suggesting this new found agility won't last long.
This Joshi is convinced that his party won't be able to address either of his grievances in the immediate future of one to one with Cong PM and immediate lifting of Parliament siege. In suspended animation is the thought of PAC Joshi calling JPC -refusing PM. To break this impasse and the animation which is more than suspended in nature, some have suggested a middle ground. This middle ground could well be Joshi and Singh trading places whereby this Joshi would take the chair which Singh vacates and that Singh taking the chair which Joshi leaves. Well the siege the Parliament is faced with, it calls for unconventional measures to break the same. The PM's chair could well go to the member of the opposition class with the rest of the cabinet coming from ruling benches and all the parliament committees to be headed by ruling members.
AS this solution has been suggested, there are still rampant views that Joshi could still take an independent view on scope of PAC which won't be in entire agreement with the Sushma propelled view. To prevent Joshi from taking an independent view the prevailing view is why not submit a certificate to Lok Sabha Speaker speaking of mental health of PAC CHairman which the Speaker can independently verify from independent sources. Faced with such a dilemma the independent view that Joshi would attempt to take won't be independent in any nature and what would be independent is the scope of JPC to summon PM and his tribe of independent ministers who acted independently with no one to control their motion. But that possibility was thrown to the wind as Joshi broke bread with Gadkari and settled to rest the Cong mehmangiri .
