Everytime I read of Obama or clinton, I think of their political equivalents in India.
I just wish we can have some obama's in each of our poliical parties in India!
Fresh ,new ,young & current ,which this generation can relate to.
This can happen only in US & we are only good in dreaming RDB style revolution!
All we have are a bunch of 80 yr old crooks on crutches,drafting their epitaphs!
Infact, I just dont know whom to vote in our country?
Even if there are some offbeat candidates like our own PM ,Mr Singh , who on his own
maybe good as he had proved in the past ,but in the present scenario as a PM ,he is nothing but
a puppet in the hands of Sonia Gandhi.Infact any other candidate from congress will be a
puppet of gandhi family,so the best we can hope for is Rahul or Priyanka to break the mould & raise
to the situation,like Rajiv Gandhi.To be true ,I was too young to judge how good or bad Rajiv was, & it
is just my preception based on what I have read/heard from others,at best I can only vouch for his charisma.
But alas, Rahul/priyanka have their own political baggage & lineage to carry forward & hence nothing new to
offer.Among other parties,I dont even know who is worthy enough to be a PM candidate.
Obama is not a name,it symbolises "CHANGE" , for a generation which is fed up & lost faith in the
present day politicians & their dirty politics.Nobody is sure ,if Obama can deliver on his promises ,but
it is an indication of the electoral mandate to give a new generation politicians a chance to reform
the political process & steer it in a new direction.I am not sure (& least bothered)of US politics &
it maybe too early to rule out Clinton , but atleast in India we surely need a OBAMA to rejuvenate
& instill faith in our political system!Just a wishful thinking!
