Nokia Mobiles- Marketing or Cheating?

By: uppalurivenugopal | Posted Mar 05, 2010 | General | 199 Views

I have been a Nokia user since the time I started using mobile 6 years back. My passion for gadgets made me buy some new mobiles on the day of release- Nokia N series (Nokia 73 Music edition) 5800 Touch screen. One thing I never understand with the pricing. There will be close to 50% or more depreciation on some phones in less than a year. Everyone knows that this a depreciating asset. But, can someone explain the reason behind this rapid depreciation? Or is it that the mobile actually costs only that much and Nokia increases the prices just to capture the market in the initial stages of product launch. So, is it cheating or marketing by Nokia?
