My Honeymoon

By: Rashmi.Sinha | Posted Dec 12, 2010 | General | 1396 Views | (Updated Dec 13, 2010 12:35 AM)

I got married in Feb 2006 with a dashing person you all know, do not you? Sorry, but I would like to keep you guessing.

All was not well, when I was getting married. Though it was an arranged marriage, but things, on the day of marriage, unfortunately went so bad that at certain point of time, it was on the verge of getting aborted. But, I am not going into details as it was happening due to one of the uncle of my hubby who was playing spoil sport due to some vested interest.

However, things continued. Reception happened, but the hubby was not allowed to come to my hometown along with me( The marriage was solemanised in Ranchi) as a protest from my in laws. They thought, all mess was due to mis management of my father. It hurt me a lot.

But my hubby, though, visibly hurt himself because of such happenings, told me to be neutral for the time being. I did so as I also felt that if I have to choose for so called `loyalty` I must choose my in laws only. Now, I am happy that I did that.

But, things did not improve at all. My planned honeymoon to Dargiling was put on hold. So sad. My hubby even requested my parents to come again and talk to his parents as my hubby told that scenario was not conducive for honeymoon.

They came the very next day. But things worsened.

Now, we decided to just buy time and prayed God for doing something good for us.

He listened us.

We were blessed with a beautiful and healthy daughter in Ranchi the very next year in the same month of our marriage. Even, the occasion was celebrated with a nice party. I appreciate my in laws for this. They love her more than any one on this earth.

Our daughter became 2 years old and suddenly my hubby told that we are going to God`s own country as our belated honeymoon trip. I was pleasantly surprised and gave him a tight hug and kisses as well. But he instructed me that it was an `unofficial trip` as the situation was still to improve at his home town. But he allowed me to share that trip to Kerala to my parents. I shared also. My parents became so happy about that and wished us for the honey moon trip.

The trip went as expected..... extremely memorable. We visited The famous Kovalam beach and Kanyakumari during a 10 day trip. The hotel in Kerala was very hospitable in particular and the people of Kerala in general. Our journey was comfortable because of Rajdhani and Satabdi trains.

Thanks Mr Rajesh Sinha, my sweet heart.
