My Childhood Memories Part 2

Hi All! I have come back with another hilarious true incident. You will be actually surprised to know but it really happened with my brother twice and after this it never happened since he had decided not to trust his sis and participate in fancy dress competitions any more. This time we had planned that our little Dr. Daate would enact as a lawyer. To ensure that we don’t repeat our mistake and embarrass the little one we worked on his dialogues first even before we could arrange for his outfit and the props. But history repeated itself. He came onstage at the announcement of his turn. I had my fingers crossed. His performance started off well which was an obvious sign of a good and winning performance. The dialogue delivery was also fantastic and towards the end of the performance when I was about to feel the satisfaction and happiness it ended up making a record of embarrassment and foolishness. Towards the end of the performance the little lawyer was supposed to sit on a chair after delivering his line of argument. We could not arrange for a chair so we quickly dragged an empty cardboard box of a television and thought it would serve the purpose. It definitely would have if and only if I had not forgotten to keep the box upside down. But lol! In a hurry I kept the open side of the box facing upwards and the moment he rested his back on the box he went right into the box with only his struggling legs hanging outside. There was a pause of silence initially but then everybody in the audience including me burst out laughing, of course. I know that I was very mean on my part to laugh at this moment but I could not control the laughter. My parents and some other faces turned around to stare at me and my head started hanging in shame again this time. I quickly climbed the stage to help the little one come out of the box. My bro’s anger for me this time cannot be even expressed in words, of course. My energy and enthusiasm had all gone down the drain for quite some time, again of course.
