I recently bought this mouse from Microsoft called 4500, through a cheap online deal. I thought it would be a normal optical mouse to use, but I knew the quality would be good as Microsoft products usually have good quality products. I was quite impressed by the build quality as the plastic looks solid. The click is not particularly loud and is quite easy and smooth. It uses blue track technology which I think is quite good as compared to optical one. Never used a laser mouse before so not sure how good it is in lase comparison. But blue track was found to be quite precise and reliable. Only problem I faced was that it has a long cord and is not that sometimes causes a bit of trouble when using with laptop. Also I found the mouse quite big and would not go well with the laptop. I had earlier bought it for laptop use, but now I will be using it for my desktop.
