Uttar Pradesh chief minister and BSP supremo Mayawati finally broke her silence on Wednesday and announced her party's support to Anna Hazare's fight against corruption.
The statement came immediately after the minister of state for animal husbandry and dairy development Awadh Pal Singh Yadav tendered his resignation. Yadav resigned after being indicted by the UP Lokayukta for corruption. The Lokayukta submitted his report on Tuesday following which the BSP top brass found itself in a dilemma over staying distant from Anna's countrywide agitation against corruption when one of its ministers had been indicted for the same.
