Malls In Chennai

There are lot malls and multiplexes coming up in Chennai. It is good to enjoy the shopping and watch movies in these multiplexes.But one important thing both the mall owners or corporation authorities forget is additional traffic jams these malls are adding to the already congested so called lifelines or roads of Chennai.Before allowing anybody to build a mall they should be asked to build exclusive entry exit without affecting common roads and main roads. eg. After Chandra Mall came up at Arcot road the Virugambakkam road is blocked even at 11 PM, City Center have parking for 100 cars the rest they expect to park on the road. Sky walk is better planned with separate entry and exit but all others are having entry and exit to the same road.

If I rate the worst planned Malls . The below ones will get the top 3

1. Chandra Mall / Fame Cinema - Arcot Road Chennai - They made the Traveling time from Virugambakkam to Vadapalani a 2 hour affair from 10 minute

   
   




2. Abhirami Mall Purasawalkam - It is must be called as Mini T Nagar because every thing bad about T nagar is packaged and served you at Purasawakkam.

   
   




3. City Centre / Inox - Can help you to enjoy your weekends in traffic Jam.

   
   

If I rate the best planned malls in Chennai , it would be like

1. Express Avenue - Have enough Parking and proper entry and exit

   
   




2. Ampa Sky walk - Enough parking is there.
