Antakshari, until recently, used to be the most popular pastime played with family members during gatherings. Having a round of Antakshari during travelling long distances in bus or train with friends/relatives used to help kill time considerably! It is an activity where anyone with some know-how about songs can participate. Hence, it was an ideal game for all age groups!
I remember years back, prior to any family function, people used to make a list of all possible songs that they can sing during Antakshari and help their team! The list was the most prized possession and participants used to be possessive about their lists! With new technology, there’s no need to prepare any list. Recently at a function, many (including me!) were browsing their music players in their cell phones/iPod/MP3 playerswhen they couldn’t think of any song!
But off late, Antakshari has lost its popularity which is very unfortunate. But let’s revive it! Presenting the final activity of the Fenil’s Bollywood Talk Centenary Celebrations, MS Antakshari!
The rules are very simple!:
1. There won’t be any teams here.
In the comments section, you have to sing (or rather type) the song that starts with the letter with which the song sung by the member above your comment ended! So for instance, if I have mentioned the song ‘tere ishq mein hadd se guzar jau, mein jhoot kahu to…kahu to…kahu to mar jau! Oh Girl you’re mine!’, then the person commenting after me should mention a song beginning with ‘n’!
No need to sing the whole song…just the first 4 lines!
Only Hindi songs will be allowed!
Start singing the song from itsmukhda and not the antara!
