I have been using a Maruti 800 for a very long time. I am on my third set of tyres. The initial lot of 5 came as 145/65R12. But from second set onwards I started using Goodyear GPS 2, size 155/70R12. This set was tubeless. Once during a puncture repair the repair tool broke few strands of the steel belt and slowly the tyre got finished but the set still gave me a life of 35000 km. B'coz I do tyre rotation regularly I replaced a set of 5. The tyres I preferred second time were not Tubeless but yet again Goodyear GPS 2, 155/70R12. I find no differrence in performance. Due to the bigger than standard OEM size the car has a better handling and road grip, increases ground clearance even though in mm only. They have crossed 35000 km but do not need replacement as yet. The only problem is the spare needs slight effort to go in its place in the boot. If over inflated will not go in or come out only. Goodyear GPS 2 is real value for money.
