Lokpal Bill to be placed in Lok Sabha
After Rajya Sabha approving anti-corruption Lokpal Bill on Tuesday, the government of India might place it in Lok Sabha on Wednesday. A fresh bill with amendments will be brought to Lok Sabha and even in this house a debate on the bill may not be expected. As the government is getting an unrestricted support from the main opposition BJP, it is quite confident that the Lower house will pass the bill with no hurdles.
The Lokpal bill was also the first one to be passed in this Winter sessions of Parliament. Meanwhile supports of Anna Hazare started the celebrations however Anna said that he would quit the hunger strike only after the bill gets acceptance in Lok Sabha too.
