Little Wonder - Angel

Shez a little flower, coloured in yellow and orange, merely 2ft, bright and evergreen. I encountered a beautiful little angel, this morning when I was quietly sitting on a bench, holding a token, numbered-56! I was mentally preparing, to get set for another draggy weekend and sitting in a mobile service centre was just a start! With wild thoughts rushing and gushing into my head, I was numb, to understand anything happening in the environment around me. Just then, a teeny-weeny gal, holding a gigantic blue phone in her hand, gently touched my leg. I was still in a trance, trying to bat out the unfruitful thoughts from my ever clumsy nervous system! When I didnt heed to her touch, she thought the best way to wake me from my slumber, was by calling out AAA - in her understanding probably meant 'duh', 'lady' or 'idiot'. I jerked and noticed this little thing standing in front of me. She gave me a smile which had affection, warmth and love. I smiled back and she quickly ran towards her mom with her toddle feet. It seemed to her that she had performed a miracle by touching a statue and turning it into a living object. Wow!

I turned my head to see the faces around me. Vivid set of people , talking in various different languages, some eagerly looking at the counter and awaiting their turn. Few, were elderly and often altering their postures, finding it difficult to sit without back support and others were busy chatting up with their spouse or friends, who had gracefully accompanied them. Bugged, I took my cell phone and started messaging a friend. Just then, the angelic gal came again and tried to snatch away the phone. I quickly put my hand near the eyes and sounded like I was crying bitterly. She thought, "Oh my, watta fuss pot? Aren't you grown enough already to cry?" Finally, she took my hand and gave me her monster phone. I again looked at her and smiled. Her reflex action was quick. She snatched back the phone she had placed in my hand. She would have said, "Watta selfish woman, I just gave her my phone and she stopped crying. If only I hadn't taken the phone back, she would have sold it for a good sum and would not even give me 50% share. I better keep it with me and get 100% money."

I smiled again and turned away my face. I was simply not in a state of mind to cuddle her or play ringa ringa roses! At the same time, a middle-aged man, seated on the right side of me invited her for a play session. He gestured and enticed her by showing his jazzy-flip mobile, but the gal was least interested. I heard her say, "Common old man, stop hitting on me. Am busy trying to cheer up this aunty sitting here and you are leching at me! Out of my sight dude, out of my sight!". I was her most loved bakra for the time-being. She again came to me and this time, it was my shoe that she had set her eyes on. Her cunning eye movements, told me that now she wants that black, shimmery, ribbony shoe of mine! By the time I could think of something, there she was holding my shoe aka feet! "NO" I said. She responded "ahahahahaha". I modulated and said, "sweety thatz chee chee don't touch that" . She lifted her head and looked straight into my eyes. I was a little scared. She then gently left her hand with an expression that looked like "Was trying to guess how much you paid for it. Huh, not even rupees hundred. Cheap!" and she left to go to her mom.

Now, even I had become one of those, who desperately wanted to get out of that place. The fact is I was enjoying every move of the brat, every little sound and every little gesture. But I didn't want to shower any affection. Thanks to my sulky self! She then ran all round the room, in a bid to find someone interesting rather than the old boring me! After completing a lap, she came back to me tired, huffing and puffing! I couldn't stop myself from holding and cheeks and lifting her. She was elated, finally the statue that she touched not only turned into a human but also had learnt the art of being humble and loving. Watta Victory. She ran in excitement all around the room - the victory lap. (contd in the comments section)
