It is heartbreaking to know that the legendary and iconic singer M Balamuralikrishna is no more with us.


He became a well-known personality when he captured the entire nation's attention with the classical and song ‘Mile Sur Mera Tumhara', sung by him in the eighties


M Balamuralikrishna was a child prodigy who was fortunate enough to be the son of a highly skilled musician-couple. For him, music was a congenital talent which was given to him a gift from his parents. At an age where the world of children revolves around leisure and fun, he decided to drop out of school and pursue his musical career without any inhibitions. By the time he reached 15, he was heralded as a force to reckon with across the nation


His success was a result of his incredible versatility and his mesmerizing voice that would leave the audience spellbound. He left his mark not only in singing but also shined as a composer, poet, multi-instrumentalist and an innovator of ragas


and taalas.


Referred to as a living legend by most, he performed at more than 2500 concerts across the globe and wrote more than 400 compositions in Telugu, Sanskrit, Kannada and Tamil


Albeit his mother tongue was Telugu he could sing in other like languages like Tamil, Kannada, Sanskrit, Malayalam and Hindi too


The whole nation is mourning the loss of one of India's greatest legend. The Twitterati wished condolences to his family also prayed for his soul to RIP. The chief minister of Tamil Nadu expressed his grief by referring M Balamuralikrishna death to an irreparable loss to the field of music, cinema, fans and above all for him.
