I’ve got to ask...

By: bikash_4297 | Posted Nov 11, 2011 | General | 403 Views

I’ve got to ask-

If we’ve known the art of smiling,

Why thou taught us to shed tears?

We sure can be gutsy in gambling,

Why then a minute peril dips us into fears?

I’ve got to ask-

The mother never ceases to caress the son,

Why he shirks to do the same in time?

Aren’t thy the one who shoved earthly fun,

Into riddles of creed and caste’s rhyme?

I’ve got to ask-

Why is nobility the minority,

In aimless mayhem?

Can’t on flora thou shower pity,

When I mercilessly axe-pierce its stem?

I’ve got to ask-

The grace in a bird’s flight,

The charm of the marine breed…

We’ve fought with jets and ships alright,

Didn’t warriors the wings n’ fins need?

I’ve got to ask-

Man comes, goes; the institution moves on…

I’m burnt, she’s buried, he’s hanged, they’re shot-

Will we bond again in the eternal sojourn?

Or we’re here with fossils, to rot?

I’ve got to ask-

Who were thy beloved fanatics,

When myth hadn’t the Big-Bang met?

What new-fangled beauties will thy mix,

Erstwhile moon and sun when forever set?

I’ve got to ask-

Aren’t thou ‘all’, aren’t thou ‘mighty’?

‘Almighty’ when I raise a finger then,

Why don’t thou twist it anti,

Giving an answer, my brow thy wipen??
