Investment vehicles in simple terms are the instruments by which you can investment. Suppose you want to go to America then you should go by either ship or by plain. Bus, walking, car is of no use when going there. In the same way there are various investment vehicles which can help you achieve various financial goals. I am not saying you should use particular vehicle only all I am saying is you should try new one too. But remember you should invest only in those vehicles that you like so you can make money easily.
Following are investment vehicles:
1) Equity
2) Debt
3) Metals
4) Real Estate
1) Equity: There can be further 2 types equity shares and preference shares. They are one of the best asset class. Any one can invest in shares by SIP in mutual funds or by buying shares. There are convertible shares too.
2) Debt: They include debentures, bonds, company deposits, etc. They give you fixed income hence also known as fixed income securities. There are other types too convertible debentures and non convertible debentures.
3) Metals: You can invest by ETF, or by directly buying metals gold, silver, etc.
4) Real Estate: It can be either commercial or residential. It is one of best but ill liquid asset class.
So you may ask tell me which vehicle gives me best return so this is my answer "It's never about which investment vehicle you use it's about which vehicle you love cause ROI is just a number. I recommend you to invest in the vehicle that you love so learning will be fun and you can improve your financial education once it increases then ROI is unlimited on any vehicle and trust me it is possible."
