I put this as an order hoping to taste some "parathas", "fried aaloos", and "woh kehte hain na: mast teekha masaledaar khaana"...but but but... here is what I received as a compliment and as a learning that "be ware before you cross the borders":
1. tomato soup ( I swear my mother rarely served us one before meals)
two tandoori rotis ( arey bhai humaare ghar mein bhi tave par heen roti pakti hai)
three curried vegetables ( one was having a single piece of paneer in it and the others were god knows what, but lots and lots gravy.... north mein long kabhi kabhaar sabzi bhi kha lete hain, koi unko bata de)
dal ( okay!)
various colored rice ( they call it "pulav".. do we eat pulav always??)
So this was my "north Indian meal" today! Dare to taste??
ps: applicable to the restaurant in which I had food today, not all of them.
