I met Him again....Part 2

“Oh nothing, he has so many followers that it’s really hard to displease all.

“Really?’ I rolled my eyes. “What does he do?” I asked.

“Well he looks into the complaints department. Several groups of people take his advice. He has this huge network of people. He asked me to join him, but you know translation is quite a different ball game’, he smirked.

“Yes I understand,” I said.

“So what’s new with you, besides looking for meaty assignments?” he asked.

“Nothing really, it’s just that some of my own people don’t understand my point of view”, I said.

“Yeah I know that kind of thing. Tell you what, why don’t you try not giving them your pearls of wisdom for a change?” he said.

“But how can I keep silent when I know that they are making a mistake”, I said, a little irritated.

“Well yes you have a point there but what’s the use, people at that stage have generally crossed their prime and most human beings feel that age can alternate for wisdom and experience, simply because they have in their words, ‘seen life’, he smiled again.

“I really don’t know, but then they’re family you know,” I replied, a bit more confused this time.

“Hey what did you say your name was?” I bounced back.

“I told you that I have lots of names,” he smiled his now famous grin.

“You mean pet names? Yeah we Punjus have this constant habit to keep several pet names. So what’s your’s?” I asked again.

“Well some call me Golu, others call me Chickoo, looking cute has its benefits you know”, we both smiled at this. “But you can call me Prathamesh!” he said.

“So that’s your name hugh!” I replied.

“Not really,” he said. “I was named Vinayak, but my maternal grandpa didn’t quite like it so he used to call me Gajanan. My mom was not sure which name she should zero in; so Dad decided my name to be Ganesh” he said leaving me thinking hard.

Hey wait, all these names belong to Lord Ganesha. Before I could ask him anything else, he zipped by at a supersonic speed. I wonder what he was trying to tell me before this name game started. He kept mentioning the fact that sometimes you just don’t give away your piece of mind. But why not? And why is it important to keep silent, knowing that there is something amiss and you can help solve it.

This was really confusing. Why silence? And why did he simply go away? Why does he always do that when I am about to cling on to some answer. I lost; totally. He was trying to tell me something and he made it clear that I should keep quiet. Wasn’t it the same situation I was in? I knew the answer to some questions life was giving me and I knew it before the so-called experienced guys could discover it. And he told me to sit pretty? Why? God I hate this playing ‘hard-to-get’ game that he was playing with me. Perhaps I’ll have to wait yet another time for these questions to get answered. I hope he comes again!
