I'm so happy for my soul
it lets me remember that when I wandered
with no place to go I had a helping hand,
it held me close and never let me go.
I'm so happy for my soul because when I wondered who it was, he revealed himself, healed me and saved me at the same time.
I'm so happy that I know his name and when I called my Lord, he answered.
I'm so happy my Lord never leaves me out, he comes to me telling me what he wants of me, and I answer, anything you ask of me I'll do.
I'm happy when I do whatever he wants right,
but I am especially happy, especially grateful
when he holds me in his grace for the things I
know I got wrong trying to do it my way.
Then he comes around and allows a better start to get to the finish line....
You see, I've learned that valuable lesson, its not my way if I'm going his way, and by going his way.
I can cross over the finish line, covered in grace.
